The 5th MEET IN BEIJING Arts Festival

Meet in Beijing opened with a Chinese variety show Glorious Gallery in full presence of Chiense styles of choreography, costume and dance. China National Song & Dance Ensemble cooperated with its Japanese counterpart and produced the opera Empress Yang Guifei, which demonstrated to the audience prosperity of the Tang Dynasty and the doomed love between Empress Yang Guifei and the Emperor.

Danish National Symphony Orchestra closed Meet in Beijing. As one of the oldest radio symphony orchestras in the world, it offered a heart-gripping concert to sweeping effect.

Different genres and styles of music were presented on stage to full blossom. Chinese youth and rap lovers had an opportunity to enjoy the raps by German Massive Tone that topped the list of various kinds and to experience the its uniqueness. Magicians from Sweden and Japan showed their incredible talent for several days in a row. Ireneusz Krosny, a polish mime master, surprised the audience in the Chaplin fashion humor.

The Picasso Painting Exhibition was launched in Beijing Imperial City Art Gallery, receiving thousands of art pilgrims every day.The French contemporary with the Chinese Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. Louis XIV, the Sun King - Treasures from Chateau de Versailles was held at the Great Court to the Forbidden City and saw many Chinese people trying to explore the life of the French ruler. New Wave Contemporary Arts Exhibition from Centre Pompidou and Finland Alto Design Exhibition were both held in China Millennium Monument and displayed the most pioneering ideas.
